About this Event
Are you looking for a fun and creative activity for your child after school? Creative Minds focuses on exposing students to different forms of art and providing space to explore interesting topics! Each session is unique and teachers rotate to give students an opportunity to learn from a variety of artists!
This session will be taught by Kim and Jena. Jena is the Arts Education Coordinator at the Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness, a stained glass artist, mom of 2, and is a School Psychologist. Kim is a sewist and one of the owners of BCAW! With 15+ years of experience, Kim loves teaching creative classes for kids, and coming up with sustainable art projects.
Creative Minds has either a Monday or Tuesday program option. The classes run from 3:00-4:30 with drop off beginning at 2:30. Students who attend Wawecus Elementary School can be picked up from school by Jena with parental permission.
A registration form will be emailed to new students to provide teachers with more information about your students and their needs prior to class beginning. Please be aware that the email will be from [email protected]. These emails occasionally are sent directly to spam folders.
Session 3: Sea Glass Art Kim and Jena
In this 4 week class, students will make their own sea glass using glass scraps and rock tumblers. We will use this glass to make one-of-a-kind art that can be taken home at the end of the session!
Monday Class Dates: 11/25, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16
Tuesday Class Dates: 11/26, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17
