Creative Leaders Community & Connection

Join us for an engaging in-person gathering the Community Room at New Seasons on N. Williams, in North Portland. This event is all about bringing together creative minds to network, collaborate, and inspire one another. Spend an hour with up to fifteen creative leaders from across Portland.

Join this event and you will:

- Meet other design & creative leaders from across the city and state

- Tackle real life challenges for your work and teams

- Learn organizational skills you can apply to your daily work

For all you introverts, this is networking at its easiest... We’ll provide conversation starters, you’ll provide the conversation. The connections will flow naturally.

You'll talk about yourselves... your challenges, celebrations, interests, work, creativity.

As a creative leader you are most likely at least 10 years into your career, while managing folks from as many as 4 generations. There are very real differences in how people operate, their expectations for how they work and how they develop, and it becomes easy for misunderstandings to arise.

Co-faciliator, Michelle Gay has been certified by the Center for Equity Centered Coaching, and will help facilitate a discussion and your understanding of how you can best lead a multi-generational team and interact with clients who may not be in your own generation.

Whether you're a Design Director, Creative Director, or Design Executive, across any design or creative discipline - product design, graphic design, innovation, fashion, experience, etc - if you lead a team of creative thinkers and doers, this event is for you!

If you are a creative professional leading and running your own business, this event is also for you! Not only will we talk about teams, we will also talk about clients and collaborators. This can be very helpful also, if you're at a point in your business where you're starting to hire a team or contractors.

Design, creativity, and Innovation is at its best when diversity and inclusion are present. This group will be held as safe space for all races, gender identities, backgrounds, religions. Hate speech, bigotry, and continued micro-aggressions will not be tolerated.

Note: the room is booked until 11a - folks are welcome to hang out until then to mingle, talk, ask questions, or even get some work done.
