Presented by and carefully curated by , Creative Ladies Night is an ongoing monthly event featuring an Art Show + Pop Up by a local prolific female artist, with curated cocktails, mocktails, delicious beers + wine and happy hour discounts on food and beverage all night. Everyone is encouraged to bring a sketchbook or art project and get creative with each other, or just come relax and make new friends.

Laura Atria is a professional artist and Public Art Professional based in South Florida. She serves as the President of the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals (FAPAP) and public art administrator for multiple municipalities, including the City of Pompano Beach and the Town of Davie. She is also the Manager for the City of Pompano Beach’s Artists in Residence Program. Previously, she was the Public Art Administrator for Coral Springs for 12 years and has worked with Tamarac and Palm Beach County. In addition, she has served on multiple selection boards for Broward County. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a dual degree: BFA Studio Arts and BA Art History. Throughout her years as a Program Manager, Atria has written multiple Public Art Master Plans. Atria worked with the Coral Springs Museum of Art to receive a Community Foundation of Broward Grant in 2012. In 2016, along with the Pompano Beach Development Services Department, she was awarded the Florida Planning and Zoning Outstanding Study/Plan for the City’s Ten Year Public Art Master Plan. She also worked with Pompano Beach’s Cultural Affairs Department and CRA to receive a $100,000 National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) Grant in 2017. In 2018, she was part of the department team awarded a one million-dollar Bloomberg Philanthropies Grant for the City of Coral Springs’ Public Art Challenge. In 2020, Ms. Atria worked with Pompano Beach’s Cultural Affairs Department to receive a Community Foundation of Broward Art of Community Grant for the City’s Public Art Program. Most recently, in 2023, Ms. Atria worked with Pompano Beach’s Parks and Recreation Department to receive a Broward Art of Community Grant for another project.
In addition to her public art advocacy, Atria is a professional artist whose work often focuses on voyeurism, the female, self-healing, and self-definition. She often creates personified characters in her paintings as a way to document her desire to process past traumas and better understand the world. She was awarded a Broward Cultural Division Artists Support Grant in 2021, 2022, and in 2023 she was awarded a Mid-Tier Artist Support Grant. In 2020, she was commissioned by President Joe Biden to create banner murals for his South Florida Presidential Campaign. Atria is currently represented by Gallery 42 located in Ohio. As a professional visual artist and Public Arts Program Manager, Atria brings academic and hands-on knowledge in addition to familiarity of artistic theory, principles, and materials to the projects she encounters.
