About this Event
Bring your art, junk, drawing, or memory journal and supplies to work on your pages. Community facilitator Meghan Splawn will kick off the work time with some page prompts around a monthly theme. You can use the remainder of the time for art making, reflections, or memory keeping. We'll wrap up class with an optional show and tell.
What to Bring:
- A journal, notebook or sketchbook
- Collage materials or ephemera from your days wrappers, junk mail, old receipts, etc.
- Pens, markers, watercolors, colored pencils, stickers... whatever materials feel good to you!
- Your curiosity! No art experience is required!
The Creative Journaling Club will provide some supplies for sharing.
What to Expect
- Introductions and prompt sharing begin promptly at 6 pm and will take 10 to 15 minutes
- You'll have 90 minutes to work on your pages. Collaboration, idea sharing, and questions are encouraged but not required
- We'll use the last 15 minutes to share pages and cheer each other
About the teacher:
Meghan Splawn is a food writer and recipe developer. While she's most creative in the kitchen, Meghan is a life-long diary keeper and creative journaler. She's most well known for her food doodles and documenting what her family eats every night.
