Real connections have never been more important.
We are social beings, and feel better when supported by those around us.
Building connections can be a challenge.
Sometimes it’s difficult to find the right words to say. Or when you feel disconnected, it’s hard to build the confidence you once had.
Talking aloud is just one way of expressing yourself. By using creativity, you don’t have to find words.
Strong connections provide emotional support, make us feel less lonely, and build resilience against stress. We are more likely to share our thoughts when we feel connected, and talking is the first step to feeling better.
Join us in the Event Space in the ground floor of Princes Quay for Creative Connections, an art exhibition celebrating creativity as a powerful tool in supporting mental health.
We will exhibit art produced by our patients and the public across the Creative Connections theme.
There will also be workshops for you to join throughout the day, including:
- Kintsugi - The Japanese art of making art from broken pottery
- Mindful colouring
- Mindful doodling workshop
....and the opportunity to engage with Trust services and partners that can be accessed without a referral from a medical professional.
Attend this free event to find out more about the services we offer. No need to book, just turn up.
