Creative Civic Change Peer Learning Event

We are really excited to get together with you all in September for the CCC Peer Learning Event on the 24th and 25th September! We will be hosted by Makala and her brilliant team from Filwood Fantastic, at the Filwood Centre in Bristol. Agenda

We are working to firm up the agenda at the moment, but based on recent interest and enthusiasm- we are thinking about theming the whole two days around storytelling. Hopefully these conversations will set us up well to make some amazing noise about your projects in the final year of the programme.

Timings will work roughly as follows:

Friday

1pm – 2pm: Arrivals & Buffet Lunch

2pm – 3.30pm: Session 1

3.30pm – 4.00pm : Break

4.00pm – 5.30pm: Session 2

5.30 – 6pm: Break

6 – 8.00pm: Dinner & CCC Cabaret in main hall

Saturday

9am– 9.30am: Warm up & Hello

9.30– 11am: Session 3

11am – 12pm: Finale session

12.00 – 1pm: Lunch

1pm: Home time

We would really encourage everyone who can come to attend for the full two days, but will happily accommodate anyone who can only come to one or the other – please let us know using this form.

Cabaret!

Makala had the excellent idea of hosting a CCC Cabaret in the evening – where we will invite anyone to do a short song/poem/performance/dance/show and tell – anything goes! We will also invite local artists from around Filwood to take part. This will be completely optional – but let us know if you would like to perform something that will need any special set up.

Accommodation

We have a block booking at the Premier Inn – Bristol South, just a 5 mins drive from the venue, or a 20 minute walk. If you would like to opt in for one of these rooms, please let us know with this form. The cost of each room is £64/night – and will be paid from your CCC Travel Grant.

Alternatively, you will be able to use your CCC Travel Grant to book your own accommodation. There are lots of options closer to the city centre but do be aware that the Filwood Community centre is around a 20 min drive from the city centre.

Travel

You will be arranging your own travel too and from the event – and will be able to use your CCC Travel Grant to cover the costs.

Childcare

We would like to make this event as easy as possible for everyone to come to – so are looking into childcare options at the event. Please let us know on this form if you will need to bring your children, and what ages they are.

Alternatively, you will be able to use your CCC Travel Grant to cover the cost of childcare at home.

Other Requirements

Please let us know if you or anyone from your area will need any other specific requirements to participate fully – we will happily arrange ?.

Covid-19

We are planning this event under the assumption that all Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted by September – all keep your fingers crossed! We will do everything in our power to make the event as safe as possible – and will adapt our plans should regulations change. When making bookings, do try to get flexible /refundable tickets and accommodation – just in case.
