Secretary of State Nancy Landry invites the public to attend the opening of Lagniappe β A Little Something Extra art exhibit of the Creative Art Connection of Bossier Parish. The exhibit will be on display from March 2 to March 28, 2025 in the West Wing Gallery with an Opening Reception on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 2-4 pm. The reception is open to the public and LSEM Friends will provide light refreshments. The Creative Art Connection is a non-profit organization whose purpose it is to stimulate cultural development in the Bossier City community by providing activities and an outlet for the talents of all craftsmen in the field of fine arts. There are forty-one members in the group, mostly located in Bossier parish, who will offer works for sale. The winter show will offer a variety of artwork on canvas and paper in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel.
Artists participating this year are Theresa Billau, Joan Cole, Gretchen Crawford, Trudy Daniel, Judith Horne, Sandra Jamison, Bonnie Kirkley, Deborah Mullinnix, Kathleen Rives, Beth Roubique, Wesley Touchstone, Karen Woodke, Jeanie Clarkson, Carolyn Pitts, and Malik Stewart.
The museum is located at 3015 Greenwood Road, Shreveport, La. 71109, between Hearne and Jewella streets. Admission is free and tours are available by appointment.
