Creating Your Vision: Photography Workshops for Youth provides a unique opportunity for students to learn more about a wide range of photographic topics and how to use photography to enhance your artful life. Using polaroid-style cameras, participants in the program explore creative, insightful ways to photograph their world around them with 1:1 instruction. Prints are instantaneous and shared with the group providing a catalyst for conversation including what elevates a photograph to fine art. A library group exhibition is offered at the end of the program, enhancing the young artists sense of self esteem, self worth and connectivity to an art community. Each student will get to keep their camera free of charge to continue to explore the world of photography around them. David Lee Black, an award winning New England-based photographer and sculpture artist will lead the workshop, aided by Amy Rosa, librarian, model and makeup artist.
