Creating With The CreatorAn invitation for visual artists, photographers and writers to spend some time in the Cathedral Basilica using your artistic gifts as a form of prayer.
When: Sat. October 18th 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM (There will be a $10 Fee for this event and participants will receive a copy of Naming The Animals by Stephan Roach and Ned Bustard)
Where: The Cathedral Basilca St Augustine FL
Why: This is a rare opportunity to sit in the quiet presence of Jesus while creating works of art, photography or poetry as a form of prayer and thanksgiving to our creator.
Who: This event is open to adult artists in the for mentioned categories. This event will only be opened to up to 10 artists. Please RSVP me at [email protected] as soon as possible.
We will meet in the west courtyard at 9:00 AM as a group. Upon entering the Cathedral you will have time to quietly walk around and contemplate what area of the building you would like to create in. Maybe the beauty of the flowers on the alter are calling you. Maybe the marble railings or aderation chapel will be your subject. You are free to move around during this time, but please be respectful of the Cathedral and the other artists creating in prayer. No food or drinks are aloud and no music unless you have earbuds
