Creating with Cocktails

Your ticket purchase includes all necessary painting supplies plus one complimentary glass of sparkling - all you need to bring is yourself!

Over the course of three hours, your instructor will direct you through creating rich depth and moody ambience using a system of layers and contrast. This schedule of course includes built in beverage breaks! By the end of the class, you will get to bring home your very own figurative artwork - and hopefully some new painting skills. The 16" x 20" canvases will be prepared with a sketch of the design and colors will be pre-mixed. This ensures that all experience levels are able to participate :)

Your instructor, Rachel Johanningsmeier is a local fine art painter and sculptor. Her work invites us to connect by recreating the female body, telling stories of its strength, fluidity, and spirit. You can find more information about the artist and view her portfolio here.

The class will take place at Haymaker, Raleigh's 90's cocktail lounge. Come soak up their tasty cocktails- or mocktails - while you rediscover your creative side.
