Creating The Magic of Theatrical Costuming

This workshop is designed as an intensive look at how to approach and conquer the costuming beast faced when doing a theatre production. Broken into three basic components, the session will explore organizational techniques, various approaches to the design process and some practical applications for acquisition of costumes either through the revamping of existing pieces or the building of costumes from scratch. Participants will walk away with a stronger understanding of the role of costumes in storytelling as well as a plethora of materials that are usable on any production from Greek tragedy to modern musicals to cabaret revues.
