A new retreat at Mariandale: The Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) Spirituality Retreat starts on February 6 at the retreat center. Spirituality, and how one even defines that word, is deeply influenced by one's life experiences through the lens of identity. But, as a people whose history is filled with violence, oppression, and other othering practices, Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) hold generational and experienced trauma that greatly inform how spirituality is interpreted, received, and lived out (or not) in one's life.
Join us for a weekend of discovery and healing as we work through the intersections of our own identities, traumas, and experiences to find our spirituality and inner healing.
The retreat begins with dinner at 6pm on Friday and ends after lunch on Sunday.
Facilitators for this special retreat are Dana Livingston and Laura Fairchild, M.Div.
