About this Event
CDLI hosts regular community conversations and gatherings to support community building efforts in and around Calgary! We do this by learning from each other in supportive and inclusive spaces.
Creating Just Futures is an initative to support anti-racism and decolonization efforts at the community level.
Join us IN PERSON in the community room at the historical CommunityWise Resouce Centre (223 12th Avenue SW ) for a morning of of storytelling, system mapping and how we can support each other to improve our communities for a more socially equitable future. This meet-up is focused on how we can understand and identifty the root causes of racism at the community/neighbourhood level. will be provided

Land Acknowledgement
Storytelling with Mark Audu (He/Him). Stories are sacred when it comes to understnading and hearing from those with lived experieence.
System Mapping - Where do we begin to identify the areas in which we can engage with the anti-racism and decolonial efforts on Treaty 7. We'll spend time mapping the opportunities for people to meaningfully engage in this work.
Community Support - Together we'll work towards ideas to support other community members on their jouney.
