This workshop brings together multiple arts forms, focusing on storytelling, drama, and creating more ensemble work with rigor and joy.
About this Event

The fifth and final workshop in our Creativity in the Classroom series, Creating Ensemble Work addresses narrative storytelling through drama. The language and performing arts skills in this workshop boost ELL and general ELA students’ understanding of sequencing, oral presentation and plot arcs, as well as characterization and character motivation. At the end of the day we’ll put it all together in an original, ensemble theater work.

You can choose to attend individual dates in this workshop series or take all five. Participants who register for the first four workshops will receive the fifth registration free. Workshops may be eligible for LAUSD-approved hours towards salary points.

Inner-City Arts always uses the arts as the starting point for learning. Prerequisite knowledge is not necessary. All workshops are interactive and hands-on. Come prepared and dressed for light movement and art making.
