The character is a mask. The stronger the mask, the more free the performer is to play. This workshop is a very physical exploration of character forms starting from the body. Through rigorous physical play and improvisation, you will be led through a series of exercises and provocations to create new characters. You will leave with essential tools for devising and creating embodied characters.
The field of movement analysis is rich and playful - there are endless possibilities. Discover the freedom and fun that can be found in the simplicity of working from the body.
This workshop is compelling training for actor-creators - performers who devise their own work. The tools will be useful for anyone working in the theatre or comedy world, including writers and directors.
