About this Event
Join us for our monthly creative morning in the heart of Colchester
In this session we will be creating portraits using abstract methods
Abstract art is about exploring art in ways that are unique to you. While in this session we will be using portraits as the focus of our art, you have the freedom to explore, play, and break the rules of traditional portrait styles.
Adelaide, who is facilitating the session, will guide you through the materials available for you to use. Throughout the session Adelaide will offer guidance, suggestions and encouragement.
When creating portraits, there can be a focus on ‘getting it right’ – such as proportions, aiming for realism, and this can distract us from the joy of creating art. When we embrace abstract art, we can let go of rules, expectations, and the need for it to be perfect.
Take this session as an opportunity to get creative and connect with your community
