About this Event
For this month's photowalk we’ll venture out from the museum into the neighborhood of Rosebank to capture the spirit of our surroundings through photography while collecting ephemera such as receipts, wrappers and other found objects that tell the everyday stories of this place.
Through hands-on guidance and collaboration, we’ll explore the work of artists who utilize found materials in their work, then learn to combine our own photographs with collected ephemera to create layered, textured works that reveal a fuller sense of place. The workshop will conclude with the creation of a collaborative zine combining our photographs and found materials from the walk.
All levels of photographers are welcome. Bring your camera, smartphone, or rent a Polaroid camera from us (Polaroid film also available for purchase). Due to limited capacity, registration is highly recommended.
