This is a casual, panel-style conversation with thought leaders and advocates who look at how to encourage bicycling.
About this Event

What defines a "bike-friendly" city and how can we be a part of creating a culture of cycling? Join CargoB for a casual, park-side conversation with a panel of community members, thought leaders, advocates and practitioners who each approach this question from unique perspectives.

We'll hear from Boston's Bike Mayor and bicycle educator, Vivian Ortiz, urbanist artist, Matthew Dickey, PE educator and Bike Bus champion, Sam Balto and creative urban planner from the Mayor's Office of New Urban Mechanics, Nate Lash.

Becoming a city that is welcoming and encouraging to everyone, no matter your level of comfort, requires collaboration and tackling the effort from multiple angles. We look forward to how we all can contribute to this conversation!

Thank you to Alianaza Brewing series for hosting. Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation present Alianza Park Series, a first-of-its-kind mobile beer garden and hospitality series coming to seven neighborhood parks across the City of Boston. Alianza Park Series combines a menu of small-batch brews from the Latino-owned Roundhead Brewing Company and farm-to-plate Caribbean American eats from Fresh Food Generation. Alianza (“Alliance”) speaks to the business partnership, and invites attendees to travel and build communities across Boston neighborhoods.

Shared table seating at pop up picnic benches can accommodate approximately 40 people. Prepare ahead, and bring a picnic blanket if you think you might need one. If you are enjoying Roundhead beers, you will be limited to seating in a specific area. This should not impact your ability to listen to the speakers or partake in the discussion.
