Join the Safe Spaces project for a two-day reflective and experiential workshop led by Karina Kottová (Czechia) and Toka Qataya (Egypt), exploring how emotions and awareness intertwine in artistic creation, curation, and exhibition.Through dialogue and practical exercises, we will reflect on how feelings shape creative processes, curatorial choices, and the ways we connect with artworks — as artists, audiences, and institutions.

⟡ MEET THE WORKSHOP FACILITATORS ⟡
Karina Kottová (Czechia) – Prague-based curator and art theorist, co-founder of Islands of Kinship network and former director of the Jindřich Chalupecký Society (2015–2025). Her practice focuses on feminist and socially engaged projects that rethink institutional care and emotional intelligence in the arts.
Toka Qataya (Egypt) – visual artist, curator, and cultural manager whose work bridges psychology and contemporary life to explore human emotion and mental well-being through visual media.
Part of the long-term Safe Spaces project of the Czech Centres.
