The Hold Me Tightยฎ Program for Christian Couples by Dr. Sue Johnson and Kenneth Sanderfer is a biblically aligned program designed to help couples strengthen their emotional bond and improve their communication skills. The goal of this program is to help couples repair, enhance and continually grow their love relationship.
This two-day educational and experiential workshop provides an introduction to the core concepts of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), recognized as one of the most impactful approaches in couples therapy. Geared towards enhancing relationships, this educational program serves as a proactive step for couples seeking to improve their relationship dynamics.
๐๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐ง ๐ญ๐จ:
๐ identify and stop recurring cycles of arguments or silent disconnection
๐ gain insight into the intense emotions and unmet needs
๐ค initiate the journey of healing past relationship hurts and learn how to extend and accept forgiveness
๐ฌ transform communication and take control over conflict
๐ express your authentic feelings and desires
๐ฑcultivate deeper trust, intimacy, playfulness and joy in your relationship
๐ foster a secure attachment to each other and God.
๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐:
* Educational and engaging presentations (using pictures, music, and videos to explain the core concepts of attachment theory - the science of adult love), in-class exercises, couple guidance, and group discussion.
* The workshop does have a full schedule, and the segments build on each other, so attendance of the entirety of the workshop is requested.
* While the workshop is effective for couples seeking to enrich their relationship, it is not a substitute for relationship therapy. A powerful relationship booster, it provides time to nurture your connection and create cherished moments together.

๐๐ง๐ฏ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ:
- Early bird registration per couple is โฌ625 through 21st of April
- Regular registration per couple is โฌ685 beginning April 22nd through June 1st (last day to register)
Registration fee includes the workshop fee for the two of you for both days, all materials, guided assistance during private exercises, lunch, refreshments and beverages throughout the two days.
Cancellation policy: cancellation is free of charge more than 6 weeks before the start of the training. You will receive a 50% refund between 6 and 4 weeks before the start of the training. If you cancel within 2 weeks before the start of the training, no refund will be given.
We reserve the right to cancel the training up to 2 weeks before the training if there are too few participants. In this case, you will be entirely reimbursed.
Space is limited to 6 couples.

Victoria Ribokas is an Amsterdam-based psychologist and systemic psychotherapist in training, specializing in couples therapy. With a passion for fostering healthy relationships, Victoria combines her clinical background with a compassionate approach to help couples go through challenges together and strengthen their connections. She is married to her sweetheart and together they navigate life with their two little children.
Lavinia Olimid runs her family mediation practice in Brussels. She has professional experience in higher education, consulting and training, holds a doctorate in accounting and two postgraduate certificates in general mediation and family mediation. Lavinia is passionate about helping families in conflict to gain insight into their communication and to collaboratively negotiate solutions for the future. Lavinia and her husband have two adult children and three grandchildren.
Lyke Florentinus is a psychologist and psychotherapist with a doctorate in social sciences from the University of Leiden and a post doctorate in integrative psychotherapy from the University of Antwerpen. She has a private practice in Amsterdam and works as a senior therapist, trainer and supervisor for therapists at Eleos (GGZ) Christian center for mental health, in Hoevelaken and Lelystad. She is married and the mother of 6 children.
In addition to other training, all facilitators have been initiated into Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. This is the core of the Created for Connectionยฎ educational program.

** This training is particularly beneficial when your relationship is generally positive. Yet, there might be challenging situations you wish to address or improve upon.
However, if there is any form of partner violence, ongoing affairs or addictions, or potential separation, couples therapy or mediation would be more appropriate. The workshop would not be suitable for persons with mental health concerns or couples in a relationship crisis.
