About this Event
Why paint indoors when you can go out into the open air? In this ‘en plein air’ class, students will learn how to capture Exeter’s beautiful historic downtown by exploring innovative painting and drawing techniques! Open to all skill levels, students are encouraged to bring any medium they prefer and create a unique cityscape filled with color and texture! Instruction begins at the gallery and will include emphasis on selective perception and learning how to omit various details without losing the essence of a scene. Demonstrations will also focus on design, color and application of your chosen medium. Students will need to bring their own artist’s stool and depending on medium used, a portable easel. Come, explore and create with us!

Students are considered registered when tuition is paid in full. Payment is required and will be processed at the time of registration. If, after paying, a student is unable to attend, tuition will be refunded; less a $25 processing fee (in addition to any online processing fees if paid online). Refund possible only if student withdraws (by phone or in writing) at least 10 days prior to the first class.
If the class is cancelled by EFC or the date is changed and the student is unable to attend, a full refund will be given. If the class is cancelled or the date is changed, students will be notified one week prior to the advertised start of class. Every effort will be made to contact students if class is cancelled due to severe weather. Students may also contact the shop. A make-up class will be scheduled.
Gift certificates are available for classes.
