MEDICINE TOOL WORKSHOPThe Heartbeat of Mother Earth - The Drum
Drumming is woven into the fabric of people and cultures who practice Earth Medicine around the world, and the oldest drum artifact archaeologists have found dates back many thousands of years. When we make a hand drum, we have an opportunity to expand our own healing journey. Working with the drum is about re-examining what we've gone through in our lives in order to learn to have gratitude for those lessons so that we can move forward in a positive way. The hand drum is a personal instrument in which there is one voice, one song, one spirit.

COST: $200 for the teaching PLUS the cost of the supplies
The cost of supplies varies based on the size and type of drum you want to make. Supplies range from $200 for 12 inch Deer to $500 for big Moose drums. There is limited space and hides for this workshop, so secure your space early with a $50 deposit to ensure you get the hide and size you want.
This workshop begins with a smudging and Shamanic Journey to orient all participants to the sacred space needed to create this healing medicine tool. We will maintain this meditative state for the duration of the day while you learn the traditional method of creating a hand drum. We will break for lunch and finish off by making your own drum stick and learning how to tune and care for your drum in the future.
