Learn how to create your own 108 bead custom mala in this 2-hour workshop at the Peace of Mind Center.
Malas are beautiful tools that can enrich our meditation & mindfulness practice. When we create our own tools, we pour our intention into the piece, imprinting it with our unique energetic signature.
In this workshop we will cover:
* How to choose and arrange your beads according to energy
* Knotting and stringing technique that you will be able to use in other beading projects as well.
* The history of malas and ways to use them in your mindfulness practice
All materials will be provided:
* Moss Agate and Golden Tiger Eye 8mm beads for the base of your mala, along with other gemstone 6mm beads to choose from to a unique energy combination for your piece.
* Guru bead.
* Mala cord.
Tools will be on hand for you to use to create your piece including a bead board to sort and arrange your beads.
If you would like to bring your own beads to use, please choose beads with a 0.8 to 1.0mm hole.
This workshop is limited to 6 spaces. Please call the Peace of Mind Center at 318-219-8344 to register. Pre-payment is needed to hold a seat.
