Making herbal salves is a skill everyone should learn. In this class, Eileen Brantley of Herb Girls Athens & ILA will share the various methods of creating herb-infused oils and the ease of turning these into healing salves. As part of the experience, you will handcraft 2 herbal salves: one for sore muscles and another for itches, bites, and irritated skin. You’ll walk away with a solid understanding of herbal infused oil & salves as well as the medicinal properties of all the plants we use. This class is a must-attend for the burgeoning herbalist or any health enthusiast.

About the Teacher: Eileen Brantley has been a student of herbalism for 12 years. Her journey began in a permaculture design course where she was first introduced to healing herbs for both body and land. From there, she apprenticed at the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine and went on to create Herb Girls Athens with fellow herbalist and friend, Amy Saleh. Her business has taken many iterations and now, she is enjoying watching it continue to grow and transform. Eileen is also Lead Herbalist at ILA, a company using herbs in functional foods like its adaptogenic coffee mix-in and energy bars. When she’s not studying for her masters in Functional Medicine & Human Nutrition, you can find her in her garden.
