Create Mixed Media Van Gogh Glass / Mosaics

In this fun workshop we will use paint, metallic pigments, and gelli papers to create unique sheet glass and glass gems to use in your mosaic work. The sheet glass we create will be similar to Van Gough glass. This is a great opportunity to learn to extend your color pallet range and create glass in colors that are hard to find. We will focus a lot on pinks, bright neons and metallics.

Each student will be given two large sheets of glass to work with and a handful of different sized transparent gems. We will also make use of Rebecca's gelli paper stash and paper ephemera. In the last hour students will have the opportunity to create a small 5 x 7 abstract mosaic using their newly created tessera.
