About this Event
Join UF/IFAS Extension Polk County Master Gardener Volunteers for a fun holiday craft. We have deconstructed some old pallets and saved can lids to create these unique upcycled Christmas trees. You will select from pre-cut boards to make to make your tree. It will be 40-45 inches tall, free-standing, and, of course, as wide as you choose the branches to be. We will help with the nailing and assembly. You may white wash (or green wash) as desired. You will be using provided acrylic pants to decorate the can lids with Christmas symbols, words, names, or designs that are meaningful or just festive! Be sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. The class is scheduled from 9:00AM to 12:00PM (noon). We expect there will be a lot of variance in completion times.
We plan on a fun, festive time for all!
This class will be held in the Brenneman Auditorium in the main Extension building. Entrance is on the south side of the building. There will be signs.
