Create a Birdfeeder + Birds of Prey Experience
A Free Kids' Nature Event
Bring the family to Hicks Nurseries for a hands-on and unforgettable nature experience designed just for kids! Children ages 5 and up will create their own pinecone birdfeeder to take home, then enjoy an incredible live presentation featuring majestic birds of prey.
The Wildlife Center of Long Island will present “The Raptors of Long Island,” a 45-minute educational program offering a rare, up-close look at these amazing birds while teaching kids about their habitats, behaviors, and the important role they play in our local ecosystem.
This two-part event blends creativity, discovery, and learning, perfect for sparking curiosity, kindness, and a lifelong appreciation for wildlife.
Create a Birdfeeder available 10:30am-12pm
Raptors of Long Island Program 11:00am-12pm
RSVP is required. Seating is limited for the Birds of Prey show and available on a first-come, first served basis.
