Join us for a crazy, crafty time with Cindy to make the Crazy Quilted Pillow. Make the super fun and easy pillow using the ladder stitch on your serger. The crazy quilting can be achieved by cutting fabrics at an angle or use straight strips of fabric. Make any size desired, square or even a bench pillow. The crazy quilting is done using heavy decorative thread to create a lovely decorative stitch.

Supplies Required:
Serger
Basic sewing supplies
5-6 contrasting cotton fabrics – ½ yard of each fabric
Backing fabric yardage will depend on finished size of pillow
Pillow form in desired size
3 yards – Shape Flex fusible interfacing
Zipper if you want a zipper closure in the back – you can do an envelope type closure also
Clear foot or standard presser foot
Fray Block
Top stitch needle 90/12
1-2 spools of decorative thread 12 wt
1-2 spools coordinating regular serger thread
Sharp scissors
Rotary cutter, ruler, pressing mat if you are bringing a small iron (small iron if you have one)
Prepare Before Class:
Cut fabric into strips ranging from 3” to 1 1/2 inches wof.
Bring your extra fabric and scraps if you are able to cut it out ahead of time!
