We had so much fun having Crazy Hearse here last summer, we are excited to bring them back to our Greenhouse Stage!With stellar musicianship and a sincere reverence for Neil Young’s music, Crazy Hearse emulates songs from across Young’s career but with a particular focus on the way these songs were and likely would be performed by Neil Young’s longtime backing band, Crazy Horse. It is a tribute to a specific band and the songwriter at the center of it.
The individual members of Crazy Hearse have been in critically acclaimed bands that include Russian Circles, RLYR, Mosey, Dutch Henry, and The Dushanes. Individually, their musical careers have included supporting legendary and diverse artists such as The Replacements, Beach Boys, Rush, Tool, Wire, and Daniel Johnston. They have graced stages as large as Lollapalooza, St. Andrews (Detroit), Metro Cabaret (Chicago), House of Blues (Chicago) Brixton Academy (UK), Castle Farms, and the Kalamazoo State Theater.
