About this Event
In this 5-day summer workshop, young artists design cardboard sculptures that Swoop, Spin, Swirl, and Swivel.
Artists ages 6 and up will plan and create their own whimsical and wonderful creations using cardboard, paper, and other repurposed household items. Sculptures will move due to a simple crank slider mechanism, spinning gears, or a push and pull tab.
Class Cost: $200* per student per week (supplies included)
This workshop occurs from 1:30pm- 5:00pm, daily, from Monday, June 9th to Friday, June 13th.

Instructor Bio: Shannon Johnson is an elementary teacher with over 30 years of classroom and summer camp experience. She is currently the science/STEM teacher at Episcopal School of Jacksonville-Beaches Campus, where she teaches students to design and create using Design Thinking and the Engineering Design Process. Students are encouraged to imagine, plan and create in a way that builds confidence and ingenuity.
