About this Event
Boswell Book Company presents an afternoon with Craig Johnson, author of Tooth and Claw: A Longmire Story. It's a brisk holiday novel set in Alaska featuring a baby polar bear and a young Walt and Henry, who are looking for work after returning home from the Vietnam War.
For this event, Johnson will be in conversation with Milwaukee author Nick Petrie.
This is a ticketed event. Each ticket costs $25 plus tax and fees and includes admission for one person to the event and a hardcover copy of Tooth and Claw. Additional copies will be available for purchase at the event.
While working for an oil company in the bitter cold of winter, Walt and Henry soon encounter a ferocious polar bear who seems hell-bent on their destruction. But it’s not too long until they realize the danger does not lurk outside in the frozen Alaskan tundra, but with their co-workers, who are after priceless treasure and will stop at nothing to get it.
"Johnson is able to make the landscape itself at least as fascinating as the slightly off-kilter, and sometimes murderous, folks that inhabit Walt’s universe.”
—Denver Post
