"When no words came, I drew."
That was the answer I gave when people asked me how I got started in art.
My journey in art began as a way to heal from past experiences. Drawing was where I felt safe to express my thoughts and feelings on the canvas, filling it with colours and capturing my emotions in the artwork.
And no, you do not have to be good at drawing to create your own art. Nor do you have to be one of those “arty” types who love art museum trips and the like! You can get a D in Art in school and STILL receive intuitive nudges, higher wisdom, and soul-led insights based on what you create. There’s really no grade for that.
All you need is an open heart, a curious mind, and willing hands.

Join the "Colours of You" Workshop
This workshop is designed combining elements of art therapy and coaching, offering a unique space for personal exploration and healing. Through creative expression, participants gain therapeutic insights that help in understanding and connecting with their inner selves. You’ll have the opportunity to explore your emotions and thoughts through art, guided by supportive techniques aimed at fostering personal growth and self-discovery.

Price per person: SGD80
Art supplies such as oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, and A3 paper are provided.

About Wendy Wong
In the early 2000s, I picked up my paint and brushes again. Drawing helped me express myself better, and thus "Drawing Within You" was born, using art as a medium to run workshops that help others rediscover themselves. My artworks have been exhibited around the world. Trained in graphic design, I paint intuitively with a focus on abstracts, using acrylics on canvas. I am also experimenting with digital art due to a shortage of storage space for my canvases at home… My dream is to have a solo exhibition one day.
