About this Event
In this immersive 2-hour workshop, participants will learn the art of incense-making using ethically harvested ingredients that highlight the rich aromatic traditions of California native plants as well as other traditional Indigenous plants known for their sacred smoke.
Through hands-on experience, attendees will create their own custom incense cones, blending plant matter and essential oils, while gaining a deeper understanding of the properties and benefits of each plant used.
Participants will work with the following ingredients:
- 3 different powders to craft incense cones
- Los Angeles Forest Spring water
- Essential Oils
is the founder of . She is a Naturalist and Herbalist. Her goal with Herb Club LA is to help people connect with the natural world. The connection between land health, community health and individual health is at the forefront of everything she does. She focuses on nature advocacy with a strong emphasis on community building. Growing up as a first-generation immigrant of Native American descent, she also focuses paying homage and respect to Native American ways of living closer with the rhythms of nature. Through her own journey, she found deep healing reconnecting to more natural ways of living. She believes that caring for our inner world will be reflected in our outer world and vice-versa – that connecting with our plant-kin and learning from nature will lead to more harmony and resiliency.
