Stuck using the same voice for every character? Ready to explore the full potential of your voice? Want to learn techniques to create fun, memorable voices quickly? We've all been there. As improvisers, we often struggle to create unique and sustainable character voices. It can be frustrating when a silly voice that initially seemed fun and exciting suddenly becomes difficult to maintain or falls flat after just a few lines.
Join us for the Character Voice Lab: Crafting Healthy and Hilarious Voices for Improv – a two-hour session designed specifically for improvisers! In this intensive workshop, led by voice coach and clown Alex Owen-Hill, you'll dive into the art of voice transformation through practical exercises tailored for quick and creative character development.
Workshop Highlights:
- Learn to swiftly craft unique and sustainable character voices without straining your vocal cords.
- Begin to build your personal vocal "toolbox" with different techniques to create distinct voices on the spot.
- Develop foundational techniques for vocal health that will benefit your improv performances long into the future.
This session is perfect for both beginner and experienced improvisers eager to enhance their vocal prowess. You'll walk away equipped with skills to keep your audience engaged with characters that jump off the stage.
Testimonials from attendees of his Voice Playground course:
"I've attended Alex's workshops before and whatever your skill level he'll be able to stretch your abilities."
"I would recommend this course, especially to the people who are into theatre or improv. It helped me to create new voices and access those voices really quickly just by doing gestures and different techniques, which I really found really, really useful."
