Crafting for a Cause: Community Craft Day for All Ages

Join us for a relaxed, welcoming afternoon of creativity and connection!
This is a drop-in event, so you are welcome to come anytime between 12:00 and 4:30 PM and stay for as little or as long as you’d like. Cleanup will begin at 4:30 PM.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver at all times. This is not a drop-off event, and caregivers must remain on-site with their child for the duration of their visit. Adults are welcome to craft alongside their child or remain with them while the child creates.
Bring whatever you enjoy creating—sewing machines, Cricut projects, crochet or knitting, card-making, bracelets, bookmarks, drawing, painting, or any other craft you love. If you have supplies to bring for your own project, that would be wonderful. I will also be providing some basic supplies including some yarn for anyone who enjoys crocheting or knitting.
There will be a drawing and coloring table for all ages, along with a simple activity table for anyone who would like to stop in for a short time to create something meaningful for a chronically ill child.
All items created will support Tyler’s Dream, a nonprofit serving children diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Syringomyelia. EDS affects the entire body, and these kids endure more doctor visits, imaging, and medical tests than most people experience in a lifetime. Most are medically complex and live with chronic physical pain.
The children registered with Tyler's Dream absolutely love and appreciate receiving items that are handmade. It reminds them they are not alone. It lets them know they are loved, seen, and cheered on by a community that cares.
The zebra is the symbol of EDS, so zebra-themed items are always appreciated—but anything bright, joyful, and made with love is perfect.
Come create, connect, and help bring a little light to a child who truly needs it.
