MacEwan University's 2024-2025 Gene Zwozdesky Artist-in-Residence, Lianna Makuch, will be presenting on Crafting Culture Through Storytelling on February 25. Join us for an open talk on culture, art, and storytelling featuring Ukraine-inspired insights, new creative projects, and a Q&A. Everyone is welcome!
Lianna will share insights into her artistic ethnographic work, including her research in Ukraine both before and after Russia's full-scale invasion and the profound impact these experiences have had on her creative process. She will also discuss the projects she has undertaken during her residency and her unique approach to storytelling. The event will include a Q&A session, offering an opportunity to dive deeper into her collaborative methods and the narratives she brings to life.
