It has been said, and rightly so, that collecting craft supplies is a totally separate hobby from actually using them. How many times have you walked through a craft show or store and thought “I can make that!”, purchased all the stuff to do so, and then never did?
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
This Craft Supplies Swap is for all of us who have either moved on to or want to try new crafts… or who just have an overabundance of craft supplies we will never use.
Here's how it works:
Place all of your unwanted craft supplies into strong grocery bags or boxes.
Bring those bags/boxes to My New Favorite Thing on Friday night, between the hours of 6p and 8p.
Empty your bags/boxes by placing the craft supplies on the appropriate tables (tables are categorized by “type” of craft – there will be people available to help!)
An official event sticker will be placed on each of your empty bags/boxes.
On Saturday morning, between the hours of 10a and 12p, bring your empty stickered bags/boxes back to My New Favorite Thing and fill them with supplies you WILL use.
Get rid of that stash you know you will never use; pick up items to help you with your new projects; and visit with many other crafters to get those creative juices flowing!

More cool stuff you should note:
All leftover supplies will be sold at a “Leftovers Sale” immediately following the event on Saturday in an effort to further raise funds for our local animal rescue.
All items still leftover after that sale will either be used by My New Favorite Thing to host kids’ craft events or will be donated to local pre-schools or senior centers.
Please ensure that the supplies you offer are clean, organized, and in good working order.
Supplies that have been kept for “repurposing” cannot be offered in the swap, but they can be donated to the collection (e.g. toilet paper rolls, empty jars, wood scraps, etc.). There will be a separate table for repurposing.
You do not HAVE to pick up new supplies, but we will not be able to give you a receipt for your donation.
Our next swap will be in October - just in time for holiday crafting :)
