How does the Swap & Sale work?
11am-2pm:
This is the donation portion of the event. Stop by the Whitefish Community Center with your donation items. We’ll organize them into categories and place them on the $1/$5/$10 tables, then give you value tickets based on what you brought.
2pm-3pm:
We will do the swap portion of the event. Anyone who donated can take home whatever they like using the value tickets to trade for new tools and supplies.
3pm-6pm:
We will transition to the sale portion of the event. The $1/$5/$10 tables will be open to the public. This portion is a fundraiser for The Making Place. If you bring in old craft supplies, it will either be swapped with another crafty person or it will be sold to help The Making Place host more events, classes, and secure a physical location in 2025.

If you have a fancy piece of equipment that you would like to sell, we will accept a limited number of big pieces that we can sell for you and get you the proceeds after the sale. But mostly, this event involves a donation of your old stuff to benefit The Making Place and you get new stuff, new friends, and cleaner closets in the end.
