Matariki is a star cluster that appears in our skies in the winter month of Pipiri (June-July) and marks the first month of the Maori lunar calendar. To celebrate the new year we are making spinning stars in our Craft Corner this month.Stop into Huia Lodge any Saturday or Sunday this month to colour in, cut out and string up your own spinning star.
All materials supplied, so you just need to pop in. Activities suitable for 3 years+, parent supervision required.
Craft Corner is a do-it-yourself station inside Huia Lodge that you can stop in throughout the day. There are no instructors leading the crafts, it is self-lead.
