Craft Club Sewing Basics

Always wanted to start sewing but not sure where to begin? This is for those absolute beginners who may not have a machine yet. We begin by getting to know the sewing machine, from parts, to safety, to threading. We will learn about types of fabric and which stitches to use. And we will practice. We will create a "strippy quilt" cushion cover that will allow you to use your new stitching skills. We recommend bringing something you would like to upcycle into your cushion cover. Aside from that, all materials will be provided, including machines. Tea and coffee provided, please BYO lunch.
