Discover the beautiful duality of human experience through music that spans the sacred and profane across cultures and centuries. Prometheus presents a thoughtfully curated journey from Renaissance motets and ancient chants to drinking songs, love ballads, and folk celebrations. Experience how composers throughout history have captured both our spiritual yearnings and earthly pleasures, often within the same musical traditions. Each section of the program is paired with local beverages that reflect this sacred/secular dialogue—contemplative craft selections for devotional works, celebratory options for festive pieces, and artisanal non-alcoholic alternatives throughout. This concert reveals how music has always served as a bridge between the divine and the everyday, the solemn and the joyful. Non-alcoholic pairing options available.
Part of HOPS & HARMONIES: A VOCAL JOURNEY - the Fall 2025 tour of Prometheus: An American Vocal Consort
Prometheus presents an innovative concert series that pairs exceptional vocal artistry with craft brewing tradition. Under Artistic Director R. Paul Crabb, the ensemble explores the beautiful duality of human expression through music that spans sacred and secular traditions across cultures and centuries. Each section of the program is thoughtfully paired with a different craft beer style, with local establishments providing tasting flights that complement the musical selections—from contemplative options for devotional works to celebratory pairings for festive pieces.
Join us for any or all of the three concerts in this series!
