Set during the Civil War, this moving novel follows two women – one Black, one Jewish – who use their needlework to send secret messages, protect loved ones, and fight for freedom.We’ll use fat quarter squares to make mini quilt samples as we reflect on the story’s themes of resilience, creativity, and hope.
