Bread & Gravy plays a variety of music styles, including Americana, Blues, Rock, Soul and much more. And with an all-star lineup that includes Jess on piano (aka “Bread”), Stephanie on lead vocals and a host of other instruments (aka “Gravy”), Jerry on drums, and Jason on bass (and occasionally bass drum), there’s never a dull moment when this band takes the stage. But it’s not just the music that makes Bread & Gravy stand out. Jess, is known for his animated and skilled piano playing, his hilarious “dad jokes” and sense of humor, while Stephanie, is the star of the show. With her powerhouse vocals and impressive multi-instrumental skills, she always manages to steal the spotlight even though sometimes she hardly speaks a word. (She’s a little busy!) Meanwhile, Jerry, aka “The Roll” is the kind-hearted soul of the group, and Jason, aka “The Plate” is a world-class bass player who can sing harmony and play multiple instruments at once. And when it comes to their rhythm section, Jerry and Jason are a force to be reckoned with. These two play so well together that it almost seems like they can read each other’s minds. In fact, when Jerry isn’t able to play drums, Jason is more than capable of filling in, with his right foot (aptly nicknamed “Jerry”) taking on the role of the bass drum. But perhaps the most heartwarming aspect of Bread & Gravy is that Jess and Stephanie are actually husband and wife. They named their band after Jess’s love of bread and Stephanie’s penchant for ordering gravy with nearly every meal when they formed the band in 2014. With their love for each other and their music, Bread & Gravy is sure to warm your heart and get you moving with their high-energy performances.
