Asset Protection
About this Event
CPN Road Show 2024Asset Protection
All professionals in public practice benefit from a broad understanding of legal and prudent asset protection strategies. Sometimes problems are not of your own doing, you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This can apply to ourselves as practitioners as much as it applies to assisting our clients.
Highly relevantly, the ATO particularly has heavily stepped up its recovery actions over recent times since the COVID 19 hiatus, including now recommencing the issuing of large numbers of Directors’ Penalty Notices (DPN’s).
The rules and case law that govern the effectiveness of the way that we structure our affairs continue to change. This presentation will cover current case law and other real life case studies. The presentation will be beneficial for anyone interested in legally protecting wealth.
In this session Andrew Yeo will take you through:
- The underlying importance of prudent asset protection.
- Key principles behind the use of Family trusts.
- The effective use of Superannuation in asset protection.
- The relevant “clawback” rules.
- Effective business structures.
- Family law and asset protection.
- Directors Penalty Notices and ATO liabilities generally.
- Recent cases.
