The Children's Policy and Law Initiative of Indiana invites you to join us for our Annual Public Policy Summit, hosted at MCCOY with a virtual option via Zoom on December 4, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm EST.
The 2025 Hybrid Annual Public Policy Summit will focus on initiatives to advance youth justice in Indiana, including presentations on key issues and resources on how to advocate for equitable, just and developmentally-appropriate treatment of children in 2026. This event will include a discussion of expected legislation in the 2026 Indiana General Assembly Session.

- Challenges in Supporting Incarcerated Youth
- Increasing Wellbeing of Detained Youth by Nurturing Connection Through Visitation
- Age Appropriate Firearms Response
- Prevention & Rehabilitative Response Efforts
- Challenges and Adjusting to Changes in Access to Resources
- Youth Justice Advocacy: Showing Up at the State House
Together we can work to shift public policy from harsh punishment that inhibits growth and development to support that helps children achieve their full potential in adulthood.

About CPLI
The Children’s Policy and Law Initiative (CPLI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing a statewide-interdisciplinary alliance to advocate for fundamental changes in public policy for children in Indiana. CPLI advocates for systemic changes for children so that programs, policies and practices are developmentally-appropriate, fair and equitably-administered, and provide the necessary support for a child’s successful transition to adulthood.
CPLI is one of 60 organizations in 43 states that belongs to the National Juvenile Justice Network (NJJN). The NJJN leads a movement of state-based advocacy groups working toward a fairer youth justice system.
