About this Event
This three-day Stamford College CPD Course will serve as a level 2 Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People.
It will run on 19th and 26th April and 3rd May 2024 from the Stamford College Campus and cost £120 for the three days.
For students in a Level 5 placement; it will enable and allow you to counsel children of secondary school age (instead of 16+ only).
The course, amongst others, will cover reasons for children to come to counselling, how counselling them may differ from counselling for adults and the legal and ethical considerations.
It will involve human development theory and how that may apply to young people and a segment on emotions. And the course will spend time discussing counselling practice, contracting and supervision.
The course is suitable for students on a level 4/5 counselling course or higher and current counselling practitioners.
