This three-day Stamford College CPD Course will serve as a Stage 2 Practitioner Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People.
About this Event

This three-day Stamford College CPD Course will serve as a Stage 2 Practitioner Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People.

It will run on the 14th, 21st, and 28th of November 2025 from 9:30 AM until 3:00 PM at the Stamford College Campus and costs £200 for the three days.

Open to external and internal students.

For students in a Level 5 placement, it will enable you to counsel children of secondary school age (instead of 16 and above only).

The course, amongst others, will cover reasons for children to come to counselling, how counselling them may differ from counselling for adults and the legal and ethical considerations.

It will involve human development theory and how that may apply to young people and a segment on emotions. And the course will spend time discussing counselling practice, contracting and supervision.

The course is suitable for students on a level 4/5 counselling course or higher and current counselling practitioners.
