About this Event

For just $8 you can paddle the Red River and learn how to help #KeepManitobaWild.

No boat is required! It's a great way to introduce yourself — or your kids — to paddling. MCKC will also be supplying the paddles and life jackets.

There will be canoes, kayaks, a dragon boat, and safety equipment, all supplied by the Manitoba Paddling Association at generously discounted rates: $8 per person and only $15 per family.

We’re offering 12 paddle nights for the 2024 season, each of the following Wednesdays from 5-7 and 7-9 pm:

  • Wednesday, June 5
  • Wednesday, June 12
  • Wednesday, June 19
  • Wednesday, June 26
  • Wednesday, July 3
  • Wednesday, July 10
  • Wednesday, July 17
  • Wednesday, July 24
  • Wednesday, August 7
  • Wednesday, August 14

  • Wednesday, August 28

Be sure to register now before it sells out!

“I liked seeing the outside, the view, and the summer and having the kids get off screens and know that Canada is a very vast wilderness and not just metropolitan.”

— Debbie de Guzma, at Paddle Night 2019

WHEN AND WHERE TO MEET FOR PADDLE NIGHT

Look for the big green CPAWS tent outside the Manitoba Canoe and Kayak Centre at 80 Churchill Drive.

ABOUT MANITOBA CANOE AND KAYAK CENTRE (MCKC)

MCKC is a part of the Manitoba Paddling Association, incorporated in 1982. The MPA is a provincial entity whose main purpose is to promote and foster paddling in Manitoba. Whether people are just considering trying out paddling for the first time, are full members of their Provincial Team or are somewhere in between. In addition to the physical benefits, paddling can also promote good mental health... a whole-body approach to well-being.

They are located on the Red River at 80 Churchill Drive in Winnipeg. You can reach them by phone at 204-284-4646 or via email at [email protected]. Find out more on their website.
