This workshop will provide professional step-by-step instruction creating a stylized acrylic painting of a cozy cottage nestled amognst snow covered trees and hills. Learn a variety of different acrylic techniques and compositional strategies for creating the effects distance as well as gain a better understanding of color theory in creating a cold and frosty feel to the landscape.In order to guarantee space is available, students must register in advance before the start of class
No previous art making skills are required, just a love for art and an eagerness to learn and create!
Students will learn color theory techniques for creating what is essentially a monochromatic painting made almost entirely with different tints and shades of blue.
Students will gain a better understanding of the importance of strategically layering acrylic paintsx
Students will gain a better understanding of the importance of working "back to front" when developing a landscape composition
