In collab with 'Kleine Concerten' we present classical music perfomances in May and June. The concept: giving international musicians in Tilburg a stage via concerts in a cozy setting. In May, we welcome classical guitarist Paul Tudora and quintet Aires Tropicales.????? ???? ??????
Paul Tudora is a classical guitarist who has performed in multiple competitions and concerts in The Netherlands, Belgium and Romania. He was born in Lugoj, Romania; where he started his musical studies at Scoala de Artte Frumoase Filaret Barbu in 2008. Then, he continued in Bucharest at the National College of Arts Dinu Lipatti. Currently, he is studying in Tilburg at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts. He has participated in many masterclasses with guitar teachers all around the world like for instance Pablo Marquez, Aniello Desiderio and so on. He has been guided by Caius Hera, Costin Soare, and at the moment by Johan Fostier

The quintet Aires Tropicales is guided by the rhythm as much as the heart when playing music, offering a different approach to the traditional chamber music context. Their music stands out due to the fusion of strong energy and contrast elements, among which they can highlight different rhythms, especially native genres of Spain and Cuba, the countries which they come from.
Their performances combine movements of different contrasting pieces, in order to create a rich performance with a variety of styles, always making it special and enjoyable.
They were recently awarded the First prize at the Fontys Willem Twee Chamber Music Contest (April 2022). They will also perform for the Brass and Wood Festival in July 2022 at Liempde.
They make music to transmit those emotions that go beyond the score, to make their performance touches the audience. The members of Aires Tropicales are highly versatile musicians that aim to amaze with their performances by spreading their positively contagious energy.

Doors open at 3.30PM and perfomances start at 4.00PM. Student discount tickets are available, but don't forget to bring your student card! Ticket sales are limited at 50 tickets per edition. Our gratitude goes out to the Tivoli Fonds for supporting this event.
